“My legs are still tired from the weekend.” “I still have to run after this bike ride.” “I worked until midnight last night.”
Really what we’re saying is, “I’m a fucking rockstar and I want recognition for it.”
It’s OK … because we have a lot of shit going on in life and yet we’re still sweating it out and working out hard. But still. The comments get annoying. Especially from triathletes. (Oh come on … you know it’s true.)
Yes, you are a rockstar. But the only recognition you need is from deep down within. That’s it. Not from your friends or your family. Or your Zwift buddies. And certainly not from a bunch of strangers and acquaintances on social media.
Sweat it out for you, and you alone. And without the commentary. You’re already too good for it.
